This Buderim property had a tired back yard that needed revamping into a functional outdoor entertaining hub. With an old pool already in place it was decided to totally renovate the pool including redoing the internal pebblecrete, new pool light, glass mosaic waterline tile, travertine coping and replace and relocate the pool filtration system.
A new slab was poured around the existing pool with travertine latte tumbled ashlar tiles laid on top. Some retaining was needed for the pool area so a sandstone grouted rock wall was installed.
A must for this new area was a pavilion with an outdoor kitchen. Careful consideration was needed for the location of this to keep within the boundary requirements. Future planning for home extensions also had an impact on the design of the new area.
As a family who love entertaining a firepit area was designed with a curved half circle stone bench seat to sit and take in the lovely bush aspect.
