With a 1970 brick house in the middle of the block, it was either render the house to change the look or bring that style and feel into the landscaping surrounding the home. So a “Palm Springs, art deco’ inspired design was created. Situated on a corner block a boundary fence would be long and imposing so a block wall with feature breeze block sections and planter boxes were added. The plunge pool became a piece of art with a yellow 3D cladding on the outside to create a unique feature of the yard and especially at night with the glow of LED lights under the panels. Simple grey coloured concrete steppers provided a pathway throughout the property. Pebble gardens with simple arid planting suited the style while blending into the tropical plants around the pool area for that more lush and cooling feeling. Sir Grange Turf was laid with its small leaf and tight growth habit to simply blend in. Geometrical feature tiles were used to highlight the main areas upon entry and around the pool. Many other features inc a copper shower on a feature wall of grey block and breeze blocks, vintage style mailbox, copper ore coloured gates, custom step lights and garden lighting, cloud-based irrigation system , feature pots were used throughout the gardens and all lights, pool features can be controlled by voice or by a phone app from the Zimi system.
